From Potsdam to the world of sport.
TWIOO SPORTS It grew out of the idea of developing clothing for gymnastics and acrobatics: functional, vibrantly coloured and available long-term. For teams and individual athletes.
01 · THE BEGINNING
It all began with movement.
The initial idea for TWIOO SPORTS did not come from the traditional running or fitness market. It originated in areas where clothing has to perform exceptionally well: in gymnastics and acrobatic shows, in competition, in vaulting, in artistic gymnastics and in general gymnastics.
Groups need outfits that look cohesive, can withstand vigorous activity and can still be reordered years later. That’s why we don’t develop fleeting seasonal collections, but rather long-lasting styles, colours and combinations. What we create for a group today should be able to be added to tomorrow.
02 · OUR MATERIAL DNA
Polyamide-elastane has become our signature material.
Through acrobatics and gymnastics, we came into contact with high-quality polyamide-elastane fabrics at an early stage. They are elastic, hard-wearing, form-fitting and available in an exceptionally wide range of colours and finishes.
It is precisely this combination that continues to define ‘TWIOO SPORTS’ to this day: professional materials that feel pleasant to the touch, move reliably with you and do not limit design to black. From a silky matt finish to a high gloss, from understated to eye-catching.
03 · BUILT ON PARTNERSHIP
A European perspective. A personal connection.
TWIOO SPORTS was founded in Potsdam and continues to this day to work specifically with medium-sized partners across Europe: with fabric suppliers in Italy, and design and manufacturing partners in Germany, France and Portugal.
We know the people behind these businesses personally. This close relationship makes coordination quicker, enables small production runs and ensures product development is more genuine. For us, short lines of communication aren’t just a buzzword – they’re part of our day-to-day working life.
04 · THE TWIOO TEAM
A handful of people. Lots of helping hands.
TWIOO SPORTS is a small, medium-sized enterprise. To this day, we remain a small, close-knit team of staff who develop, organise, advise, finish and dispatch products.
We’re also joined by external experts, athletes with plenty of ideas, designers, seamstresses, production partners and printers who work with us on a regular basis. This keeps us agile: decisions aren’t made in endless meetings, but often right there with the product itself.
Everything we create is designed by us and produced, printed, processed and finished in Germany and across Europe.
05 · THEN CAME RUNNING
Not everyone wants to blend into the black.
At some point, a simple question arose: why shouldn’t the feel of the equipment used in gymnastics, cycling and other performance-oriented disciplines also be a given in running?
That’s how ‘TWIOO RUNNING’ came about. For recreational runners, ambitious runners and professionals who appreciate polyamide-elastane but still expect a reasonable price. To this end, we develop technical innovations and combine our ‘Stage’ colour collection with running… in bright blue, red or an intense sheen.
It’s not about colour at any cost. It’s about the freedom to either downplay performance or showcase it. Both are forms of running. We have room for both.

06 · IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENTS
Every sporting world gives rise to new ideas.
We don’t simply transfer experience from one discipline to another. We examine what exercise really requires and use this to develop practical solutions.
TWIOO elasticated waistband
An all-round elasticated waistband keeps our running tights securely in place, without the need for a traditional drawstring or constant readjustment.
More than just a sport
Many of TWIOO’s long and short tights are suitable for running, training, water sports and swimming. This versatility led us straight to swimrun.
07 · RUN. SWIM. REPEAT.
Straight from the footpath into the water.
Swimrun combines exactly what our products have long been designed to do: intense exercise on land, performance in the water, and an outfit that handles both with ease.
In 2026, we began our partnership with Swimrun world champion Celia Jentsch. She brings her experience from training and competition directly into our development process, whilst also appreciating the straightforward, uncomplicated way in which TWIOO SPORTS operates.
Today, Swimrun is an integral part of our brand. At the same time, running remains a space for everyone who takes performance seriously but doesn’t want to fade into the background. Our customers and fans now wear TWIOO from Japan to the USA. We’re looking forward to seeing what else this will lead to.
