TWIOO AQUA ACTION Speedsuits
If you’re a SwimRun or water sports fan, you’re now just a step away from your new outfit. And I’ve already tried on the new #61R5 AquaAction or SwimRun suit.
As the founder of TWIOO SPORTS, one thing was clear to me: there’s more to it than just show and specialist requirements – the brand is great fun, offers the superb quality that many athletes are waiting for, and should think on a slightly larger scale. Alongside running, SwimRun is the logical next step. All our products are suitable for water sports – and here too, there are plenty of overpriced logos, cheap Asian manufacturing and polyester everywhere. This is the perfect breeding ground for creating a TWIOO RUNNING / SWIMRUN suit that’s different, feels better to wear, doesn’t feel sticky and offers superior elasticity.
The suit in the photo is my own #61R5. The TWIOO PREMIUM BLACK – 80% polyamide, 20% elastane – has a rather matt finish, with a subtle, sporty satin sheen in the sun, featuring wide, distinctly athletic shoulder straps – a look that suits us SwimRunners perfectly. The cut is a far cry from our show and vaulting leotards – designed for surfers, runners and athletes who are passionate about spending time on the water and love wetsuits.
I wear it when it’s too warm for a wetsuit, whilst exercising and sometimes on a SUP (even though I actually find SUP a bit too boring). But at least – the sun doesn’t beat down as much on the board, and the look is quite professional without being over the top.
Lightweight, close-fitting, dries quickly and produced in Berlin or Potsdam – MADE IN GERMANY. Origin, production, price – all ‘right here’, short supply chains, sustainable TWIOO spirit. The downside: limited availability. You might have to wait a bit.
